Hieronymus Lotter Prize for Monument Conservation 2024 (on the day before denkmal 07 - 09 November 2024)

Short description

In 2024, the Leipzig Cultural Foundation will award the Hieronymus Lotter Prize for Monument Conservation for the eighteenth time. This prize is awarded every two years, alternating with the City of Leipzig's Architecture Prize, and honors particularly exemplary repairs or restorations of architectural monuments in Leipzig.

The competition is aimed at private and public monument owners and developers. The prize is awarded to monument restorations in Leipzig that were or will be completed between November 2022 and October 2024.

Description

The jury consists of:

- Thomas Dienberg, Mayor and Alderman for Urban Development and Construction Leipzig

- Mathis Nitzsche, State Office for Monument Preservation Saxony

- Klaus Jestaedt, Department of Monument Preservation at the ABD Leipzig

- Matthias Forßbohm, President of the Leipzig Chamber of Crafts

- Dr. Wolfgang Hocquél, Leipzig Cultural Foundation
