‘No more yes, but ... building in existing buildings!’

The aim of the association is to give the topic of existing buildings a voice. This voice is necessary in order to ensure the decisive progress and market standards for existing buildings that are necessary and useful for achieving the climate targets and sustainability strategy of the Federal Republic of Germany in a targeted and pioneering manner. It represents a central platform for paving the way for existing properties. This includes, in particular, the path to new market standards and adapted norms and regulations. The BiB also offers the necessary support and knowledge transfer for the portfolio. Through the targeted further education and training of specialists, the association looks to the future with confidence and added value. Due to public CO2 accounting and the publication of the CO2 balance, the association is committed to transparency and should also be a role model for sustainability in the association sector.
