10:00 - 10:05 a.m. Welcome and introduction
- Frank Schuster, Deputy Federal Guild Master, Chairman of the Monument Preservation Working Group of the Federal Association of German Stonemasons

10:05 - 11:00 a.m. Damage mechanisms on volcanic tuffs and sandstones
- Causes of bending, scaling and flaking - Prof. Dr. Siegfried Siegesmund

11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Construction chemicals for stone restoration
- New products, areas of application & project reports - Stefan Haustein

12:00 - 12:30 p.m. The Cathedral of St. Stephen and St. Sixtus in Halberstadt
- Restoration work on the north side - Dipl.-Ing. Carsten Sussmann

12:30 - 13:00 p.m. Further training to become a "restorer in the stonemasonry trade"
- Requirements, contents, fields of activity - Tobias Neubert & Thomas Laubseher

1 p.m. End of the event

At the end of the event, certificates of attendance will be handed out, which can be submitted as proof of further training by, for example, public experts, architects, engineers, etc., depending on individual requirements.

Participants will receive coupons for refreshments and drinks before and after the seminar at our stand (Hall 2, Stand A 02).

From 14:00, the Peter Parler Prize 2024 will be awarded in the denkmal Forum, Hall 2, followed by a champagne reception, also at the BIV stand. Seminar participants are also cordially invited to attend.

The participation fee is 70€ (pupils, students, trainees with proof free of charge).
