International serial nominations on the UNESCO World Heritage List – Polish experiences and cooperation initiatives addressed to the international community.

Description

The expert will discuss the Polish potential, organizational background and Poland’s activities in the preparation of international and serial nominations, illustrated by consortiums of several recent serial nominations in which Poland has gained the status of a leader, indicating further areas of future international cooperation. During the presentation, current sites will be indicated (Wooden Churches of Southern Małopolska, Wooden Tserkvas of the Carpathian Region in Poland and Ukraine and Muskauer Park / Park Mużakowski) and future serial candidates for the UNESCO list will be presented in more detail: Pre-industrial European Paper Mills (Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Spain, Italy), Beginnings of Oil Mining (Poland, Germany, Canada, USA), Mountain Fortresses (Poland, Italy, Germany), and several proposals for further international cooperation in the field of UNESCO.
