Baukultur Report 2024/25 "Infrastructures"
A product of: Bundesstiftung Baukultur
Sometimes space defining, sometimes invisible, and always fundamental for our coexistence: Infrastructures. They are the basis for a smoothly functioning society. Their maintenance, conversion and further development are currently among the most important challenges. Interdisciplinary planning and integrated construction offer great opportunities to strengthen infrastructure. Infrastructures are the basis for all our public services and secure Germany’s economic sucess. With the current Baukultur Report 2024/25 “Infrastructures”, the Bundesstiftung Baukultur addresses the question of how a necessary transformation can be achieved in order to provide resilient, climate-friendly, socially integrated and well-designed infrastructure buildings and spaces.

The three main topics ‘Infrastructure as a basis for life’, ‘Mobility infrastructures’ and ‘Processes and structures’ are concerned with different infrastructure sectors, that are closely interlinked.
